Headers for 65 f-100 pick up

I'm in the process of rebuilding a nice 351c. Have a question about which headers to use. I was wondering if anyone already has headers on a 65 f-100, for best fit and less fabricatons. Thanks..........

I think anyone running 351c headers on a truck through 79 will be able to answer your question. I believe you will need to go with some for a 351m powered truck, although some for a 302 powered truck will probably fit as well. How much do you want to spend on these, that will tell us which ones to recommend (mine for the FE were $30 at the salvage yard)....

Well I guess that's not the problem. I try to stay away from junk yards when buying exhaust parts. Something reasonable

351M/400 Headers should work from a 73-79. The only 302 Header that will work on a 351M/351C is Boss 302 Headers

Installed Hooker long tube headers on 65 w/ 302, only because picked them up for almost nothing. Said to have come off a 69. Difficult to find any header manufacturer to respond if inquire about your application because not a stock engine. Found the fit very close. Had to lift engine to install w/ very slight grinding on cross menber for additional clearance. May want to take measurements and compare to headers manufactured by Sanderson. If go to their web page may be able to find headers for your application. Believe they will also make header to customers spec's. Not sure of cost.

I know a 302 cid engine is different; but I play heck of a time installing a set in y 65; due to long tube headers; I would recommend paying the extra for shorties to allow more clearance; Most of my problem where on passenger side especially at C-6 trans pan;
Also you didn't mention if auto or manual trans in your truck, this plays a big role in installation as well. I agree with Dave about having to tilt & lift engine to installed; didn't have too grind anything, but I also weldied exhaust straight to headers with no collectors.
Hope this gives you some thought & recommendation...

headers

my 66 f250 2wd I ordred the 351c car chassis headers. these are the ones my brother inlaw had in the truck before he gave it to me. The only mod he did is a slight notch in the frame but other wise they fit nice.
