82 ford w/4.9 vs. 93 chevy w/4.3
I gonna leave this to the experts, the two vehicles in our driveway are a 1982 ford F100 with the 300 inline 6 and c4 trany w/240,xxx miles and my dads 1993 chevy 1500 with a 4.3 v6 and a 4 speed w/ overdrive, 217,xxx miles on fresh rebuild on its second motor. I need you guys to settle the on going fight over whos truck is better. both are standard 2 door cabs, 8 foot boxs, and rwd. mines sitting about 3 inchs higher in the rear thanks to new f250 leaf springs 2 inch lift blocks and some big tires. whos truck would be better for hauling fire wood/deers out of the woods, hauling junk to the dump, and if it came down to chaining them together and letting them drag each other around in the field. i thank you for any advice on the subject

Thats a good question. 10 yearsdifference between the 2. The 300 is a carbed motor while the 4.3 is afuel injected motor. A big difference. I would think since you have the 250 springs your truck would be better for haulin. Are we talkin 4 wd here.? In a tug of war if you have the bigger tires you would pull him better. What size tires on the Chevy.
