Work truck

We have an 06' f250 5.4l with around 200,000 or more on it with no engine/drivetrain issues. We have had a lot of body work though, this truck has been beat on and wrecked a few times. The damn thing won't stop.

My '06 F250 5.4 3v has 202,000+ on it. Been across the country a couple times. I'm not exactly easy on it either... Oil changes, alternator, plugs, 2 coils and 1 exhaust manifold is all I have done so far. Hoping it lasts another 100k or so...

2001 F150 Lariat 5.4 ~ 191,000 runs great (like to catch that vacuum leak) idles couple hundred over what I'd like ~ but ```

just today changed the Transmission filter ~ pretty clean in there ~ it had been changed before ~ put new brake pads on yesterday ~ broke the glaze, cleaned up the parking brakes ~ drives pretty nicely ```

My neighbor bought a 03 F250 cc Lariat 5.4 new to pull a 22 ft.. boat, used it 3 times and sold it to the neighbors across from him as "it was to much for him", New owner drove it from may until September and put a for sale sign on it and said "it costs to much for their commute" so I bought it. It had 712 miles on it. It now has 236,000 on it and has only cost me regular maintenance, an alternator and a rad and hoses ,I had leaves added to the suspension as I pull a trailer and a Bobcat with it (Weights around 14,700lbs. combined) and have had the plugs done twice at a speed shop near me, I run 5/20 Pennzoil standard and I run all Bosch filters. Never uses a drop of oil and has never given me any trouble and it gets driven about 16k miles a year. Its a great work truck and looks good enough your not ashamed to use a valet for parking. It found its forever home.

Got a 01 F150 5.4, knock on wood, it's got 315,000. Never had a valve cover off of it. Trans original, though I would like to pull the engine out and go through it and fix the head gasket seeping on the exhaust. Engine and trans has not been neglected on maintenance to.

2000 F-150 4x4 Supercab - just passed 257,000 miles today. Plugs three times I think, one intake manifold, two alternators, I might have done a water pump too, the truck or our Expedition I forget!

No complaints here I AM HARD ON STUFF! LOL! I don't get how other folks are able to make stuff last - like ball joints, shocks, etc..... Great truck though.

These threads are always interesting to me, so I'm going to help keep this thread going. I have an '06 F250 with the 5.4 and 5r110 transmission. It has 217,350 miles on it. I drive it over 30K miles a year pulling a TT and working in the pipeline/oil fields. I'll admit I'm not the most meticulous on maintenance, but I don't abuse it either. Replaced all plugs at about 180,000 miles, replaced two O2 sensors sometime in there. Other than that, I run Mobil1 5w20 full synthetic every 3000-5000 miles. I had to Repo it from my ex wife at 165,000 miles and am not sure about maintenance while her boyfriend used it as his work truck. When I asked about a transmission flush after getting it back I was told if I don't know that it's been done regularly, don't do it, just make sure it has fluid and refill if/as necessary.

This truck runs as strong today as the day I bought it with 70,000 miles on it. I fully expect to see at least 300,000 miles. Basically my attitude is "if it breaks, fix it." With this truck, and when the time is necessary, I'll just repower it and keep on going. Zero complaints, best truck I've ever owned.
