1995 Ford Explorer air bag warning / indicator light
A few days ago after remote starting my 1995 Ford Explorer XLT, I noticed a couple of things. First, the engine kind of stuttered (ran rough). It even died out while letting it warm up. I was hoping it would re-sync itself. Eventually it did while I was driving it. However, moments after it started and before I put it into gear the air bag indicator light went on. Many miles later (and plenty of times restarting the engine) the air bag indicator light is still on.
Is there a relatively simple thing I can do to reset (turn off) the air bag indicator light?
Background: about 80k miles, air bag was never deployed or worked on, no work of any kind has been done to my Explorer in months.

Marragtop, thanx for the suggestion. I actually tried that after I made my original post and before I read yours. Unfortunately unhooking the battery did not clear the computer codes, at least for the airbag.
95EPLODER, I had a feeling there was a method to the madness of what appeared to be random flashing before going solid. Thanx.
So, I've been monitoring the airbag indicator this past week and established a consistent pattern of it flashing. Five groups of 1 and 2 flashes before staying continuously lit.
Q2: So would this be an airbag error code of 12? If so, ...
Q3: Where do I find what this means and what I can do about it, within reason? I spent a couple of hours reading through website after website from the results of a Google search and didn't find anything definitive except possibly at http://www.scpoc.com/MaintMod/Servic...ault_codes.htm
which indicates a code of 12 is "Low Battery Voltage." Does this sound right? There's was no explanation on what would be causing this or what to do about it.
Q4: Does anyone have a different website address I can check out and verify the meaning of Ford Explore airbag error codes?
TIA!

There's a sensor in the top front of the rear differential....it's easy to find as it's the only electrical connection back there. It's held in by one bolt. Remove that bolt and pull the sensor out. Wipe it clean and put it back together. This was my problem. Hopefully it's yours as well.
