I've been towing with my lift since new, about 92k. 12" drop, solid steel. Air bags help a lot.

I see a lot of hitches like those rated at 10k plus. I wouldn't trust those turds for much. You have your tongue weight and the trailer pull only supported by 2 pins. Granted they are in double shear but I've never been comfortable with that. I suggest Anderson drop hitches being the adjustment section is a structure that slides around the drop tube. They probably are the most expensive but definitely a better design.

Had mine for 3+ years and never had a problem and I'll guess I've been over on a couple of occasions. I was just showing that there are hitches out there.
