Thumbs down AEM Brute Force Cold Air intake interrupts remote start

I recently replaced the factory air intake system with a AEM Brute Force Cold Air Intake System. It is GREAT! But, now when I use my remote start it starts up just fine, but only remains started for a coupel of seconds. Does anyone knwo why and is there a whay to bypass this problem? Any advise would be appreciative. Thx.

Take it out, return it and buy a K&N unit. Just my opinion after owning an AEM intake. JP

Welcome to the only family Ford Truck site, on the net. If you have a minute check out the Guidelines, it will help you to navigate through and understand FTE.
Enjoy FTE ….

I read on another thread that during a cold start in very cold weather, the engine rpms are higher and the remote start will automatically turn off the motor because it thinks there is a problem due to the high rpms. Someone said the tach can be bypassed and this won't happen. If you just installed the CAI and the weather got cold at the same time...it might not be the CAI.
