I have an 84 f150, bronco suspension, 351w, 4wd, auto. When i start it it makes a sound like a rod knock, but it's not a rod knock, then when i put it in gear it makes a horrible screeching sound almost like metal on metal, it used to go into gear fine, but now it will sometimes go into gear and sometimes not, i looked through the inspection hole on the tranny and the flywheel didn't seem to be jumping around or anything. I think im going to pull the tranny tommrow, so i thought i'd post and see if anyone had this problem before, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
