My transmission started to jump when it shifts to 2nd gear. About two weeks ago i pulled the courtsy lamp fuse which also controlls the speedometer, (i was cleaning out my truck and did not want them to over heat), started it up and took it for a drive. it was jumpier than ever. I replaced the fuse and it ran like new. After about 2 days it started jumping again while shifting into 2nd gear. PUlled the fuse(which was fine) and put it pack in and it shifted normal. This leads me to believe that there is an electrical problem somewhere b/w my trans and dash. I do not yet have a code reader and was wondering if any one has ever experienced this problem.
Should i just take it to my local shop let them read it and fix it
How much does a solenoid pack cost about
Also i have yet to change the trans oil b/c i have heard that if it gets use to running with old oil, new oil may do more harm that good.
Let me know what you guys thing
Thanks
Alex
