i have browsed the topics for an answer, but nothing about foggy glass... what causes the fog? is there a remedy besides installing new glass? what can be done to prevent reoccurrence?

Usually the defroster takes care of it. I've never seen any glas that was permanently foggy except for plexi-glass.

Can you explain a little better what is happening?

If you are talking about the white that gets into windshields, this is the plastic laminate sheet between the glass getting old. Dampness on high humidity days\cold days you can try anti-fog products.

sorry to seem vague... the foggy glass i am referring to is the original windshield in my '77 F250, mostly around the perimeter except at the top (no idea why) and a tiny spot of foggy white around one dime size bullseye. i really dont think it has anything to do with any moisture, or i would see it more at rainy times and less at sunny times. i just want to keep the original glass if i can get it cleared up. thanks-

Old glas fogs up like that due to the laminate plastic getting u-v damage or more likely it is seperating from the glass. Can't fix it, have to replace it. Sorry.
