Front Mounted Reciever Hitch

Hey Guys

I'm looking into getting a front reciever mounted snowplow and I can't seem to find a front reciever hitch made for an '80-'86 Ford F-150. Does anyone know where i can get one? Does one off a different truck work??

Thanks

Check with the winch mfrs - they sell quick-mount winches that go in a Class III receiver, and most sell the front receivers for many trucks. I know Ramsey sells some. All F-150s & Broncos had the same front frame horns until around '90 when they put in the accordion frame in preparation for air bags.

Warn lists part # 26370 as one that'll fit 80-86 Ford trucks with coil front springs, that should do the trick for you... Although, I'd just build one myself... My truck already has most of what's needed in place from the spare tire carrier I deleted...

Steve: Yah, some homebrew deal... It was strong enough to tow the truck with, mostly 1/4" angle... they added an extra x-member at the nose of the truck, and, it's 3/8" plate, it's bolted on, but, I just couldn't justify removing it because I was thinking front receiver at the time...

Front Mounted Reciever Hitch

Hi-

I've got a number from Warn for the 80-86 F-truck front hitch #25862.
Maybe they changed the part number since then but I know the later year ones are different. Maybe that helps?

Front Mounted Reciever Hitch

Does anyone have the warn hitch???

I just was wondering where it comes out in relation to the bumper. The plow manufacturer says I need 8" from the bottom of the reciever to the ground.

Thanks
