Question 65 Econoline Gas tank

Looks like we will be replacing the sending unit on our Econoline. Do we have to remove the tank? If so, should we clean the inside and with what or how?

Thanks,
Michael.

you dont have to remove the tank if you dont want to, just put jackstands under the front or run it up on some ramps. just make sure you have less than half a tank when you do it. dont remove the drain plug if you can help it, sometimes the bung breaks loose and leaks.
