Ice

Well I'm not sure how it is around your area, here it is VERY icey. The salt truck just came down our road sideways, and my truck was in the street I grabbed my keys and head out to the truck to put her in the drive way. I had to lock her in 4 low to get her to move Then she couldnt get any grip to get up the drive so I jumped the curb and put 2 wheels on the grass and drove up I got in the house and my wife was a bit PO'ed, all I said was dirt is cheap fixing a hit and run isn't, and she agreeed

Good luck if yall need to go somewhere and stay safe

Bad up here too and I gotta work in the morning. Wish those hogs would learn to farrow, breed, and feed themselves. Wife don't want me to drive the car but I've been having problems with the truck so I don't know what will become of that.

Anyone know how the gravels are? I can take them most of the way.......

I was just outside a few minutes ago to feed the birds and I tried breaking it off with my plow. No go! Couldn't cut through it. I wasn't sure I could even get it back up the driveway to the garage!! The sparrows would have liked a nice warm engine compartment for a couple hours. hehehe.

Hope everyone else stays safe today.

Not too icy here in Pleasantville...

My only plan was to change tranny fluid today in my truck..but my Grandpa doesn't want to let me borrow his garage so =(. I don't want to do it in the parking lot either...and don't have my tools available. Bah! =)

I should go outside today and see..I just know at 3 last night it wasn't too icy.

We only had just a light covering when I got up yesterday, then melted off, and is fine today. Maybe some of you guys in the burlington area can tell me what to expect when I go to work tonight am I gonna have any problems running 34 over to galesburg? hopin they have any, and all cleaned off before I head out at midnight but never know, don't mind snow but driving this truck on ice ain't no fun.

the roads were just fine until I got back to about albia, from there on it just got worse the farther west I came, even though the salt shakers have been out since midnight as I seen 2 as I was leaving town.

I woke up to the sound of large tree limbs falling on my house!!!! Looks like the roads are clear yet, but everything else is iced. They didn't shut down school here in Davenport, so I hope it doesn't get any worse - lots of bad driving parents going to get their kids sounds like a potential disaster!

I think it's quit raining so I gotta go work on the house - literally.

stating to ice everything but the roads, good thing with the amount of runoff there is around here.
Opie, sorry to hear about your back, hopefully yours isn't as bad as mine got to be. I had other complications beyond the ruptured disc. These days they can fix the discs without necessarily having to remove them, the damage on mine went too many years to save. You may consider chiropractic, but be sure they are aware of your condition. They can make it worse if they don't know.
