I`m thinking of using dual front shocks (on each side) and was trying to decide on the hoops ($315 + shock) or mount ($115 + shock) . For those of you that run duals up front please tell me what you using and why? Thanks!!!

Hoops are cool to look at but function the same as a double mount....your call, it's your money

Of course if your running a custom fabed suspension, hoops would allow you to position your shock where you want them, but then you wouldn't be buying them, you would twist them up yourself for your application.

I went through the "double shock fever". I didn't realize any noticable performance improvements, but I did feel cool for about a week. I've recently went with a new suspension, and ditched the duals in the process. Wish I'd better spent that dual shock money at this point.

i also ran duals for 1.5 years and definatly felt cool... but the ride sacrifice aint worth it, now ive switched to singles and sold the hoops and extra shocks... the ride is worth it..its just too bumpy no matter how lightly the shocks are vavled.

What would the ride be like if one of the shocks was a "dummy"...would it ride the same as stock even though the shock was offset slighty?

same here used the factory dual mounts on my 95 and found the only difference was a hard ride ride . took one shock out and stayed that way. save your money and use a really good single shock.

All depends if your going for looks or heavy duty off roading. If youre doing just mostly street driving, and not woried about looking "cool" or off roading, save money and go single. I got a picture of my duals in my galery..chromed, and it looks "cool"!!
