so my bronco won't go into 1st or second very easy. it becomes more smooth after driving around for awhile. but when i start it up in the morning i have to pump the clutch it into 1st, and that's still a rough shift.
bled the line or is it the clutch??
Poss bad slave cylinder down at bell housing- assuming you don't have any brake fluid(or clutch master cylinder) leaks. This is a self bleeding system- you pump clutch pedal about 50 times with your hand and let sit for about 5 min. to bleed-Tip, have bronco front end as high as poss to aid in doing this(park on incline or jack up front end)Pumping clutch to get it to work always ends up being poss- bad master- bad slave- fluid line problems- leaks- or low on brake fluid-remove rubber cap-cup in master before adding fluid- can't remember if 96 has internal slave or external slave-this is easy to replace-internal means engine or trans removal to replace!!!
