Hey guys, im aj from trumbull. i was just wonderin if anyone knows where to get some angle iron or steel tube, sheet metal etc. Home-cheepo and lowes has sheet metal and some small stock but they suck either way. if anyone knows where to get some in ct preferably southern or at least in fairfield county it would be a great help.

Yeah, Magna steel in Bpt, on Lindley St. they have a scrap pile you can pick from and if you need it cut they can do that too. There is also another place right across the street, but I can't think of the name right now.

Is magna small customer friendly? Are they open on Saturday? I've been going up to Logan Steel in Meriden. They are open on Saturday till noon & often give cash discounts.

They were very easy to deal with when I used to go there. Haven't been in about 5 years though. Give 'em a call and see what they have to say about hours and prices. With the price of steel these day's it's always good to call around.

Magna isn't open saturdays, and they aren't the most friendly people. but if you go in the office and know what you are looking for they will let you look through the scrap pile. I don't know that they give any great deals, but it is nice to pick through the pile.

I guess I'll stick with Logan then. They have a huge remnant tent & are very small customer friendly & most importantly open on Saturday. The only bad thing about them is they are up the road a piece.
