Does anyone have a leveling kit on their 250/350 and a boss plow. If you did, did you need to modify the undercarriage? Right now with x springs on i cant adjust the undercarriage any lower. did you need to weld it up.
I'm not familiar with a boss set up, but on my western, there was 4" of adjustment.
When I stuck my lift in, I had to re fab the lower frame, and add 8" to make the plow level.
I just extended the sides to make it to the spec from the ground. You have to be concerned with stresses and bracing if you change it too much. so how much do you have to go 2 " or so you should be fine extending it.
i want edges 3" leveling kit so 3" for the kit and about 1" for bigger tires. why cant boss sell a subframe with more adjustments?? i have the stock 265's on now which are about 31" or so and am not sure if i can go to 285's with out problems.
lol, i was thinking it would be on the ground of a stock chevy. they should offer another subframe but that would cost money, be a liability etc blah blah blah.
i was thinking having the subframe about 1 to 2" longer, not to much but then you would have problems with curbs when parking and plowing.
Boss does make longer side brackets. There are several Dodge's that run around my area that use them with no problems. These trucks have big lifts and tires. Never a bent bracket or frame. My SD is a reg. cab 5.4 with x-springs, the highest front end you can possible get and my Western Uni-mount is still one hole up from being all the way down, oh and I have 33's, I am right where I should be a crack over the 10in. mark. You would have to have to some lifted springs and big tires to have to have a differn't mount.
