I just had my entire truck Telfon coated and it looks great, but I got a small stain on my seat that I don't know where it came from. They said , we ddin't do it even though I know they did. I haven't tried anything on the stain yet and wanted to ask what I should use. It's not super big or deep, but I do want
to get it out. What do you suggest?

I"m going to buy some covers from www.motorhaven.com, which they have
some really nice seat covers for a decent price. Custom fit covers too.

I have the light grey interior in my 05 fx4 too, the snow & rain just dries up on them. I am normally very **** about such things, but mine seems fine.

I have the premium two tone flint in the XLT, no stains from rain, it just dries back to the same color as before. I get a lot of comments on how clean my interior is.

Give it time....mine didn't stain at first..now any snow or rain causes blotchy stains that don't come out. This seat material sucks.

I got the flint too and can't believe water stains it! I love my truck and have had no problems with it (knock on wood). Do you have the black carpet too? I didn't even think about how dirty the carpet can get and look (even when its clean) I guess I was too caught up in getting the new truck to realize. I'm planning on getting the grey and black Wet Okole seat covers becuase they seemto fit perfectly and look like factory cloth. At 275.00 for the frnt seats they aren't exactly cheap but seem worth it.

The dealer treated my seats and they are still stained. I keep a towel on my seat, seems to help. I'm a service tech for the local phone company (climb poles and dig holes), I get pretty dirty . I have a full set of factory leather (black) I will be installing in the near future.

After having the dealership treat my seats i did still have problems with stains spilled a sprite had a stain, rain left water marks to took it to the dealer they cleaned it no more stains, With them putting on the stain resist stuff I also got a five year warrenty on top of it. As far as scotch guard it's crap once a spill is on it that spot is no longer guarded. Plus my 2 dogs go every where with me so if any body has a good cover for seats front bucket and back bench let us know.

seat staining

hi all
this is my first post on this forum but since i have been in the detail fiield in previous years i will put in my 2 cents. i have an 01 sport trac that my gf drives and the seats stain worse than the 150. the solution was to first clean them (i find fantastik works best) being sure to wet the full panel-use a towel etc to make sure adjacent panels do not get wet unless you wish to clean them too.scrub lightly with a soft hand brush and then use a bath towel to dry.
once dry you can scotch guard them yourself and can buy it anywhere.give it plenty of dry time before using the truck . you will find that the stain resistance is much better.
good luck to all of you with the problem
jim
