Replacement Carb

Hi Guys, I am Karl new member from Namibia in sothern Africa. I have just completed restoring a 1975 F100 (RHD) in which is largely in orginal condition. It runs on 300 cubic inch inline six and still has the original carb. I need to replace the carb becuase it simply has seen better days and also becuase of fuel economy.

Could you guys recommend a suitable replacement carb for 300 cui?

Cheers

Welcome to FTE!

That is a tough one. Around here in the US any parts store would carry replacements. I have no idea which companies ship internationally.

most companies won't ship out of the us for trade reasons you may be able to find a rebuild kit for it

Generally speaking, you'll need to find the tag that should be on the carb (you stated it was mostly original). With this tag, you'll find the codes for your carb and can order an exact replacement for it, or the proper rebuild kit for it. I don't know where to send you for parts, but the tag will tell the parts person everything he needs to know about it.......Good luck to you.
