I have a 2001 Explorer Sport Trac. The heat seems to be cycling from hot to cold and it's a bit chilly in the morning if you know what I mean. I am pretty sure it is a blend door problem but it seems to be a vacuum problem not a broken pin, as described in the free blend door fix. If it is the same as the blend door fix does it apply to my truck. And will the same fix work. Any comments would be appreciated. Cold in NM
You should also check your antifreeze level and make sure that they are correct. If it is low, you will get that fluctuation in temperature. If that is fine, you may want to have a look at your thermostat.
Anti-frezze level is fine and thermostat seems to be operating fine. Temp gauge not getting hot or cold seems to stay right in mid-range like it's supposed to. Very cold drive to work this morning. (19 F)
