05 EB Expedition Navigation/GPS Problem:
I recently took delivery of a new '05 EB Expedition. The Dealer in Blair Nebraska (Woodhouse Ford, I got a sweet deal) located the vehicle in Las Vegas, Nevada and drove it to Nebraska where I purchased it new. I live in Iowa (if it matters). I have the Naviagation Radio option and since I have had it, the dealership has not been able to get the navigation unit to work correctly. The radio works and plays fine, but the navigational part does not seem to be picking up the GPS. The dealership today chaged out the GPS antenna as they figured if there was no signal, then that would cure the problem. It did not and they still have my truck waiting to here from the navigation radio manufacturer. Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be wrong? Anybody else experiance this problem before? Any information that I could tell them to help move along the fix?
All/any help would be much appreciated!

I bought an 04 EB that had a problem with the navigation system. The clock would not set itself at all or it would not set itself correctly. The navagation system had me driving on the grass and the signasl strength was Red or poor. The dealer first replace the GPS antenna. no change. Than the dealer replaced the entire Navigation System. Now it is fully operational and the signal strength is White or good. I never had any problem with the AM/FM Radio part of the system.
The dealer replaced the GPS radio unit on January 18, 2005. Had to wait about 3 or 4 weeks for the unit to be ordered/delivered. All is well now. The unit works as it is supposed to and I am happy with the results. I'm just not sure why a costly option such as this would be permitted to leave the factory assembly line in a less then perfect condition. The vehicle quality is top notch, other than the GPS navigation radio.
Thanks again.
