how much drop should i expect from installing the M-II front end?

i am getting ready to install the mustang II front end in my 59, and was wondering if i should go for stock spindles or dropped ones... how much of a drop should i expect to get from just putting the m-II front end on if any over the stock height?

I think it depends on the mfgr of your kit's crossmember. When I ordered the MII setup for my '51 F1 from TCI last month, I asked the same question, and they reported a 2"drop from stock height. But I suppose the crossmember could be built differently by different mfgrs, which may change the location of the suspension parts on your frame. I was fretting over this myself, wondering if I should order the stock or dropped MII spindels, so TCI (via Tim's Hot Rods) said to try the stock, and if I want the truck lower I could trade them in for dropped spindles at no charge. They're good to work with.

MII suspension

I installed a heidts kit along with 2"droped spindles and airbags and mine drops as low as wanted. I don't have it on the road yet but have a few friends that run air bags and its like riding in by parents navigator. Plus its adjustable.

I used the TCI package and recommend the 2" drop. You can always play with the springs.

Thumbs up Dropped spindles?

Check out my gallery. The last picture is with the lower A-arms level which is where they recommend final ride height to be. My kit is the Fatman Stage II and the tires are 15". One thing I like with the Fatman is a low appearance but approx 5 or 6 inches between crossmember and ground.
