Spoiled by the green handle

Well, you know how the kids are...my oldest son, not paying attention, picked up the green handle, which is normally deisel in our area, but in this case was unleaded gas, actually all the handles were green at that particular station; which is a QT. He had a quarter tank of deisel and fill the rest with unleaded, drove about ten miles before realizing what he did, because of the way it was acting when he came to a stop. Drained all gas, changed filters, filled back up with deisel and it seems to run ok. What damage could it have done? By the way, I forgot it's a 2003 Dodge one ton...what can I say, some people can go astray. Just thought I'd mention as a word of caution. Merry Christmas; don't forget Christ is the reason for the season!

I've always been very particualar with who drives my psd. This story just confims my fears. Now I'll probably never convince myself to let anyone drive it ever again.

But then again, I did buy a Ford so I get extra points for that, right?

Well your right Clemzeter, you do get extra points. Didn't know they made anything but the PSD. Don't think I will ever let him take my truck, cause you just never know! 2000 F350...Love my truck, even in the winter now

Just Wondering if y'all could help? I just traded an '01 f-150 fx4 for an '02 f-250 fx4 and it has 265/75r16 Michelins on it. What is the biggest tire size i can squeeze in the wheel well w/o a lift? I hate small street tires on a 4x4. any help would be appreciated. By the way nothing is better than the PSD...

Johnboyfx4,
Not for sure, but I've seen 285-75-16 on the F250, and it looks like they didn't use a lift kit, but not sure...really looks good though. Mine being a dulley; I've got to run stock tires, unless I do alot of modifications.

Hey johnboyfx4,
Try your question in the 4X4 and Offroad Forum here at FTE. I searched there on oversized tires and came up with quite a few threads. If you don't find it there, most tire dealers know the limits. Especially if they sell lift kits to go with their tires.

Thank's for the help. I used to work for tire stores, local and the "great" Wal-Mart. the only way we figured it out was to try them.
