Bought 3400 4wd Kuboata W/bucket

I had a 140 Farmall for 23 years and traded it in on a 3400 4 wd Kubota with a front end loader bucket.

I believe I made a mistake. Even though the Kubota supposedly has more HP it is not the tractor that the 140 is.

I'd take the farmall
I just don't trust Japanese Vehicles something about every thing they build is smaller and less powerful than its Domestic counterpart

You are right. I just listed the Kubota in the Farmers and
Consumers Market Bulletin; I'll have to wait a week for the ad to appear. I just hope I can move the Kubota.

Bought a John Deere 755, the power train is from Japan. Seems like a good unit for a 20HP, have only used it for 30 hrs. Have a 5ft mower and a 4ft roto tiller with a loader, it all works good and is a handy little unit. The 3 cylinder engine vibrates quite a bit at an idle but has good power. Seems quite tippy , high center of gravity and the wheels are quite close together. I like it.

How much horsepower does the Kubota have? Why is the Farmall better?

The 3400 Kubota has 34.7 gross and 29.0 pto. The 140 Farmall has about 24 hp, but it was a real tractor.

My dad has an old 7100 Kubota, I like that tractor, it doesn't have much hours on it maybe 700. but it never broke down for us since we owned it, 9 years except for the clutch but that was our fault not the tractors.

If you are looking to sell it, I was thinking of buying one. I am not sure of the model you have, but it might work. Email me with some details if you get a chance. Thanks

When judging tractors it is good to compare total weight and lift capacity, they will usually tell you what the tractor is capable of. I owned a JD750 for over 15 years and sold it and a 60” mower deck for what I paid for the tractor. Not a bad investment but I missed it so bad that I had to buy another one, this time a JD 4200.

we use my brothers Kubota for tree removal. i cant think of the model #, but its a diesel 4wheel drive with a bucket and forks attachment

the lifting capacity of his kubota is 900 pounds on the forks. we often have to load tree logs much heavier than 900 pounds... so much that we have 2 guys standing on the back end of the tractor to keep the rear wheels somewhat on the ground.

the only parts replaced on it in 3 years is a front wheel seal. im not huge on japanese anything, but they really build these tractors well.

id give your new tractor a few trys, you might get to like it.
