I picked up a predator for a Ford 6.0 diesel off of ebay and when I plug it in, it boots up and then a window comes up that says "new registry" and a "close" button is blinking. This happens before the main menu comes up, and isn't covered in the manual. Does anyone know what this means? I am guessing I should press the center button to "select" it? I tried calling Diablo, but they were already closed for the day. I wouldn't be supprised if this was a unit that had previously been used, but it was advertised as "not married" and ready for use on a different truck. Any ideas on how to proceed?

 

Unfortunately, I am unable to help with units my company doesn't sell.. Contact that dealer you bought it from and see if they'll provide service for their sales. Diablo doesn't officially support eBay sales...

 

Sounds like who ever had it didn't re-install the Original Backup back into the vehicle.
You could try to re-flash the Predator. This will take it back to the original state.
You could also be updating the firmware at the same time. It may need it anyhow.
