Thumbs up Back from Van Bortel with F350, thanks Jeff

Just returned from Van Bortel Ford with my new 05 F350 cc lb srw 6.0 and couldn't be happier. The deal went exactly as planned. No last minute charges or add-ons as I have come to expect from local dealers.
After find that all of my local dealers were in cahoots (all wanted 1% over invoice, usually after waisting much of my time) and having one tell me total lies, it was refreshing to talk to a respectable, honest salesman. Jeff offered the best deal I could find and without hassle. He was also more knowledgable of the incentives available and helped greatly with option selection, which is extensive on the F350.
We had a great time. When we arrived Jeff took us to dinner and provided pleasant conversation. He went out of his way to make sure our stay was a good one. When it came time for the deal, Jeff made sure all of the little details I requested were addressed. To me it's this attention to detail that makes all the difference.
Meeting Kitty Van Bortel was also a pleasure. I would recommend the trip to Van Bortel to anyone wanting to purchase a Ford. Best part is - next time I won't have to go shopping. I'll just call Jeff, save my time and effort and know I'll be getting the best deal available.

Thanks Jeff !

I called Jeff on a whim and found him to be a super nice guy. He told me
the ins and outs of a new f150 purchase and all the incentives rebates currently
available. Why can't all dealers follow his lead and stop trying
to pork the general public.

Thank goodness for the internet, and the exchange of information it has
made possible. He is an asset to this forum, and in general an asset to the
automotive industry.....oh, and all around good guy. Thanks Jeff.

I will give my local guy a shot tomorrow, but any BS and I am making the
8 hour round trip to your dealership. Joe.

I'm new to the Forum (1 - 2 weeks); but I've been reading as many threads as my spare time allows me. One of my vehicles is an '89 F-150 SuperCab that I've had for the past 12 years (Western Suburbs of Chicago) . When the time comes (probably in 2005), I already know that I'll be ordering a new F250 or F350 from Jeff at Van Bortel. I'll gladly spend $100 for a rental car or pick up a one-way plane ticket. Congratulations on the new truck purchase.

Darn ... Southwest doesn't fly to Rochester. My NY Geography is nil, other than Buffalo gets tons of snow and is close to Canada, and New York City is not. Watkins Glen [and their purty light blue Armco] is somewhere in between.

Which is closer? NYC, Albany, or Buffalo?

Talking TO Rochester

Take Jet Blue Airways from NY's JFK Airport to Rochester. Cheap, cheap, cheap!
Just about every major flies into Rochester. Continental from their Newark hub, US Airways from Pittsburgh or LaGuardia, United and American from Chicago, Northwest from Detroit. And Jeff will meet your plane, too.

Did Jeff hook you up on ESP/Scheduled maintanance plans?

My dealership quoted me the following
PremiumCare 6/60 for 1945,7/75 2500
Premium Maintanance 6/75 2370(optional plan),6/82.5 2065,2565 for optional plan.

I heard these prices have wiggle room. I'll try to will a little more come signing time.

Talking Maintenance

No, since I purchased an Escape Hybrid with California emissions, it has a 10 yr/150,000 mile warrantly for anything connected into the hybrid propulsion system. An ESP would be overkill. Though if you look around the site Jeff has good prices on ESP or scheduled maintenance plans from Ford.
