New gearing?
Been thinking about switching my 3.73:1 open rear end to a 4.10:1 Trac lock rear end in my 1998 4x4 Ranger. But, the question is, what would I do about my front axle? Would I have to switch it over to a 4:10, and if I do, where would I find one and do they also come in a trac lock design?

Check www.reiderracing.com or www.ring-pinion.com for a 4.10 or 4.11 gear set for your front axle. Not sure what kind of front axle a Ranger has. If it is available for that axle,you can purchase a traction differential for it at those places as well. Gear ratios should be within 0.05 between front and rear to operate without drivline bind. Example, a 3.50 can be used with a 3.54 but not with a 3.73.
