spedometer calibration

spedometer calibration

i'm sure someone in this forum has experienced this problem. today i replaced my 513 rear axel ratio to a 355. now the speeds are up for the previous rpm ranges. however my spedo does not recognize the new ratio. what will i have to replace to get my spedometer to register correctly.

its a 1991 F-350 superduty dually. 7.3 engine with 5 speed O/D. all the parts i have bought for this truck have been cross referenced to a F-450.

you will have to get the proper gear for the trans to register properly. At the end of the speedo cable is a pair of plastic gears, they will have to be replaced witht he corresponding ratio for the rear ratio and tires you are running.
