1955 motor I D ing

hello everyone,
My question is how can you tell what motor you have. My 55 F100 vin # says I have a 239 cube but is there any other ways to tell them apart ?? thanks

Thats what the vin # told me it was a 239 but can you tell for sure by looking maybe the motor was changed????

Check the block casting ID here:

Since all Y blocks are swappable anything is possible.
