I have a couple of hairline breaks in my rear window defroster elements. They are tiny but enough to disable about 3 of them. Does anyone have a source or 2 for a repair kit for this kind of stuff? Can you get them locally or are they only available online?

 

I live in Canada and you can pick up the repair kit at the local Canadian Tire store for about $15, so I'm sure you should be able to get it at any auto supply store wherever you live. It's fairly common stuff.

I was taking the hard way when all I had to do was a google-search. Found that my local Advanced Auto & NAPA parts store both carry a repair kit. Runs around $8-$10. I also found a website that gives some good info on how to do it. I'm sure the instructions enclosed with the product are ok but this article from Popular Mechanics goes into quite a bit more detail.
