Well I'm looking to start the winter(indoor) project. My truck is a 83 bronco and it is used mostly for trail and mudd offroading. So I would like to put a 2 barrel carb on it, I was told the 2150? was a good choice for offroading but my question is what year make model should I get it from and do I need to change anything else?(dont know that much about all the different fancy stuff ie the funny box on the fender)but I am good at following directions(espesially with pictures ) basically I will either buy a clifford intake or mod the stock and pollish out a set of efi exhaust manifolds, but I need your help with the carb, spark, dist choices( would like to keep it as simple as posible)
thanks for any help you can give

Well if you want to keep it simple why not leave it stock? Heaven forbid right But I'm not sure what your asking. Do you have electronic ignition already? does your truck already have a 2-bbl on it? etc. etc. And you said you want to mud/play with it but if your going to settle for a 2-bbl carb, why not just rebuild the one there now or leave everything be?
I have been told that the 2150 motorcraft is a very good off road carb for the 300 and yes it is stock now that is why I am looking to buy or fab an intake for the 2 barrel and change the exhaust manifold to a pair of the efi's as to the ignition that is why I am asking, my bronco is a 83 I-6 and I was told to get a 2150 from a 400m but I want to know which year I should look for and what I need to do as far as the ingnition goes.
