This may be off topic, but does anyone know where I could purchase a set of leafs for my 95 f150. They seem to sag real bad when im under a load. Maybe a set just a bit stronger than the stock leafs would be even better. Any help would be great. thanks.
I just saw rear leafs with a very strong spring rate for 200 bucks!
That ****ed me off a lot because i got mine for 300 and they are so damn weak the back of the truck sagged lower than the front! So i had to slide in another leaf just to make them back to stock. ARG!
A local spring and Rad. shop sold me the springs bolts and U bolts for $240.00 and they are 4 leaf. They are the same size as the springs on the F 150 I have just 2 more leafs!
P.S. The springs came from the MFG that supply them to ford according to the tag under the clear pant!

I just replaced them on my 95 4wd a couple months ago. They would even squat with my 550 lb fourwheeler in the back. I should've took some before and after pictures to show the difference but with the new springs the rear looks like it's jacked up to the moon (well maybe not that extreme) so now I'm planning on getting heavy duty coils for the front, might even go ahead and convert to quad shocks while I'm at it. Oh and I bought them at jc whitney for $220 and they have 5 leafs, the original ones had 4. They also have f250 springs with 7 leafs that will fit just as easily and for the same price.
Anyways if anyone wants to see pics just let me know and I'll take some.
I've always just built my own. Get a second set of springs from a junkyard. Remove the eyes from the main leaf and install it just below the main leaf you have now. Lots better load handling and less spring wrap for nearly free.
I didn't have to pay shipping with jcwhitney, you have to watch and see when they're running those free shipping specials. It's free shipping over a certain ammount of money and with ground service. You can still get it quicker than ground but it's prorated and you do pay a little bit for that but nothing compared to what it would cost to ship it. Anyways the reason I switched mine out was because it would squat with hardly any weight in the back and I wanted to upgrade so I thought I might as well get some rated for more weight while I was at it. It didn't squat empty and if yours is doing that then you do have problems.
I'll take some pics soon and put them in my gallery and I'll let yall know when they're in there.
Silver Streak- that is exactly what i did with mine.
Every spring but the main on my rear suspension was cracked, on both sides. I bought new springs, put them in, gleefully lept into the bed of the truck expecting it to barely move, and it squat down just as much as it did on broken springs. I was a bit angry. So i took the mains out of the old springs, hacked off the eyes, slid em on in there, and BAM! They're still a bit soft for my liking but they are much stiffer than they were before. Suprizing how much one more leaf in there will do. The center pins were still long enough for the new added spring too. Didn't have to pay a penny.

i put a set of add-a-leaf's in last summer. it lifted the rear about 1.5" and rode alot better. it barely moves when you stand on the tailgate and it handles large (1000+ lbs) loads like a dream. it was only 40 bucks for the leafs. i think i got it from jc whitney.
