There are few different inches drop like 2, 3.5, 4.5, 5.5 inches drop and ***** is between 1 1/4 to 2 1/2.

I will install autospring sometime soon when i have time... i have FX4 w/ 18" but will swap to 17", 295/70/17 when i have $$

Soo i need your advice, which hitch should i get ? 2" drop?

Big thanks!

2" drop with a 2" ball would be perfect!

Really depends on your trailer. Small trailers under 2000# use a 1 7/8" ball, 2000#-6000# use a 2" ball and over 6000# use a 2 1/8" ball. The drop required is a function of the trailer also, you want your trailer level so depending on height you will need to adjust drop. Most ball mounts are rated for 6000#, so watch for this if your trailer is over 6000#.

I tow a small utility trailer with, 1 7/8" ball with a 4" drop. My travel trailer needs a 2" ball and a 2" drop.

Most trailers ,utility and bass boat trailers take a 2 in ball.I have a 04 supercrew XLT and it took a 3 1/4 in drop to get the trailer level..I tow a 17 1/2 ft Stratos..

I agree with CTFORDGUY. I have three trailers and two of them sit at different heights. (All 2" *****). I opted for a Reese adjusable, to compensate for the height. It was cheaper to buy one ball and the adjustable, then to buy two ***** and two ball mounts. They also make adjustable *****, where, you can change the ball size in seconds. It all depends on the trailer

I bought an adjustable ball set awhile back..... The thin folding latch that holds each ball in place seemed flimsy at best. Sure enough, the latch failed, and fell off. Luckily, the ball stayed in place, but could have easily have popped off the shaft. Later, the U-Haul guy told me that they've been illegal in California for some time now.

http://www.hitchsolutions.com/alumistinger.html Alum ball mounts. No grease, no rust, no mess if you want to take it off and throw in it the truck..

Ct, that bigger ball size would be 2 5/16"...., but the real strenght is in the shaft dia on the ball. Up to 6k 1" shaft is fine, over that you should be using a 1 1/4" shaft ball. You need to buy the right ball mount shaft size to match the ball shaft.
