As long as I can until I have to tow, push, or pull it in to the dealer for a new one. Hopefully in about 12 years.

I traded in my '92 F150 for this one. At the time it was a POS but had been a damn good truck. I miss the "I don't care" additude I had with it.

We're keeping our's till the wheels fall off of it!

We went with the extended bumper to bumper warranty,
it's all covered for 6 years or 100K miles...

By the time we're done with it, it'll be our daughter's first
vehicle - she's six now!

I've been known to keep vehicles forever. I bought my 88 F-150 new and kept it 16 years, then gave it to my son. I expect to keep my 2004 SC forever too, unless it starts falling apart. I've had real good luck with my Ford's and plan to get my money's worth.

In the past 3 yrs, I've been through 2 pick ups and a Jeep (and an ex wife). After some initial mishaps, I love this truck. My girlfriend made a comment about maybe I finally found something "else" that's worth holding onto. I think she's right.

This is the best truck I ever had, so, for now, I'll keep it forever. Of course, I said that about my 2003 Toyota 4Runner, too, and the one before that, and the one before.........

A long time. I am getting ready to buy a house soon, I'll probabaly get married in the next four years (at least my mom hopes so) but I have to meet the right gal first. Also the, what I will call investments at this point, I am starting now should be paying off in a few years and I should be doing a bit better on what I am doing. Long story but it/they will hopefully/should grow enough to warrant the need for me to have an F-250 Super Duty Super cab 4x4 with a PSD.Plus I like this truck and in 4 years it will be paid for, aroudn that time I should have my student loan payed off, I'll probably be able to afford another vehicle off of the "investments" from now instead of my income from my job. Though either way I will probably still keep it.

I generally keep my vehicles for a long time as long as they are running good and they don't start to nickle and dime me. I bought my '04 FX4 as a gift to myself after retiring at the age of 60. Also purchased the Premium Care extended warranty.

I bought mine as a 24th birthday present for myself, a coolege graduation present for myself, and also a "worked HARD through school, remained a good individual throughout, had a positive hard workeing reliable work ethic that earned me a good job, time to reap the rewards" type present. I also got myslef a Beretta 391 Urika 20 guage as a graduation present back in June. Presents to yourself are nice aren't they.

Hey Hermit congrats on the retirement. I did the same. Bought my FX4 as a retirement present, except I'm only 50 . After 20yrs in the FDNY it's time for a break. Bought this truck to help me get my kids and fishin gear to the boat & back. Will keep it as long as it runs well.

This was my first new vehicle for myself ever. I like to not have car payments and should pay it off in about a year and a half. Then its gravy after that (and the mods really start flyin I might add!). I am targeting between 6 and 8 years for this truck. All depends on the financial situation as I will need to replace the wifes minivan with something (hopefully not another van) in about 2 years.

I have a list of Mods a mile long I want to do to the truck and my Mustang Cobra so I need to get crackin on owning the truck outright!

Whats funny though, is that although I know I won't be buying another vehicle for myself for a long time, I still look around as if I were still in the market. Keeps me entertained!

I can only go about 4 years before I get the itch for that "new truck smell".

They are going to have to bury me in the truck. I hope to keep it about 20 yrs if money permits it. Hey Crawler- have you tried the new car scents? its easier on the wallet than a new truck.
