Oil Gauge / Air Gauge?

Hey all

I recently installed an air horn on my truck....12 V compressor w/ 1 gal. tank and dual-mounted Grover Truktones. Pretty sweet, I think but that's not the point.....

I want to put an air pressure gauge on the tank that I can read from the cab. I'm having trouble finding a (reasonably priced) air pressure gauge that is back-lit so I can see it in the dark. I did find an oil pressure gauge that has a reasonable range of 0-120 psi, with a small light and a housing for mounting it. The cost was 16.99 at a parts store

Now for the question....can I install an oil pressure gauge in an air system? Physics tells me that a fluid is a fluid, and any compressible fluids would behave similarly. Just wondering if the viscosity of oil makes an oil pressure gauge act differently.....Thanks for any and all help!

Greg
