The first one is only 7 rods, other than that they look ok. The second one I'd ask how he polished the beams, and make sure he didn't touch the bearing surfaces.
I'd avoid ebay rods, simply for the fact that someone didn't want to use 'em in their build so there's probably something wrong with them. If you really want to bid on them, make sure they're not bent, twisted, out of round, show signs of heating, or been ground on the bearing surface.
Yeah, you're probably right. I don't really NEED the rods just looking for something newer than what I've got.
BTW, remember the "sounds like marbles"? I pushed the collar up on the oil pump drive shaft. No noise.
