Thumbs down Seatbelt warning chime

How in the heck can I shut the chime off for the seat belt... Do alot of short trips around and in and out alot and buckling the seatbelt all the time just isnt possible. What is everyone doing to defeat the chime? thanks

I am not sure what the page number is but its in your Owners Manual. Look in the area around that talks about the seatbelt and seatbelt warning buzzer.

Seatbelt Reminder chime

Yes, I recall seeing that in my 05 F150 KR manual as well. You can bypass the seatbelt reminder and bring it back by pressing a few buttons, but you will need to look in the owner's manual to learn how to do it.

Are you talking about the chime that comes on a few minutes after you start the truck or the one that instantly comes on when you put the key in and start? The later one is in the manual, the first one that comes on right after starting, my dealer said that they would turn off via a programing change in the computer, Iv'e just not taken it in yet.

I have done the steps in both of those threads but they do stop the initial chime that occurs when you first start the truck with no seat belt on, if the seat belt is buckled then there is no chime. The dealer I bought the truck from said that they would turn off via a programing change in the computer it is not something the end user can change.

To stop the bell every trip, buckle and unbuckle the belt once quickly. That will deactivate it for that trip,There`s a way to do it perminatly that involves buckling it nine time. It`s in the owners manule on page 117 or 118.
