Need a '53 clutch equalizer bar

Anybody out there got a extra clutch equalizer bar (U shaped bar thick steel with two holes) for a '53 F100? Mine has the holes worn to ovals and I don't think my welding/drilling skills are up to the rebuild challenge.

My biggest conern on the rebuild attempt is the difference in hardness betweeen where I weld in new metal and the old softer steel. The drill bit may want to wander from the harder weld.

Paint for the body this weekend! Chose Crystal Blue (a metallic that Mazda uses on the Miata convertible). I figure the light metallic will hide some dubious body work and look great on all the roundy curves of the body. It will also provide a nice background if I do flames.

I think I have an extra, I'll check in the shop tomorrow. It's yours for the cost of the shipping if no one closer to you can help out.

Great! I'll be happy to pay for it. I'm in NC, zip 27023 I'll be happy to Paypal the postage and something for the part. Let me know how much to send and what email to Paypal to. I'm getting ready to spray primer in a couple hours.

There may be worse welders in the world than me, but other than the P.O. of my truck, I haven't found them...

Scott,

Is this the part in question?

If yes, then I have an extra! I'll get it out on Monday, PM me your address.
