K&N Filter

When you buy a brand new K&N Filter (or any aftermarket filter for that matter) does it come pre oiled the first time or do you have to oil it the first time?

K&N's come peoiled(Everyone I have bought so far) in the box...Just buy it, take 2 minutes to install it in the parking lot, and your set for 50-100,000 miles, from which then you will need the K&N recharge kit....I imagine all other cotton based aftermarket filters that require oil, come preoiled..like "Fram AirHog". Aftermarket paper filters do not require oil ofcourse....

On a side note: Blinker Fluid filters, however, do require preoiling prior to install.

my blinker fluid filter came pre-oiled. It's made by SVT, but the logo on it reads "Blinker Speed"

Go figure
