What is the ccv mod?

and what does it benefit.
Also, I heard an old rumor that adding a small amount of gas into a full tank of diesel is beneficial. Not too sure about that.

First - skip the gas in the diesel - if you want to mix something in your tank - get a real diesel fuel addative.

The CCV mod - from the factory - the PSD's crank case vent goes right into the intake. So as you drive - you always have an oil mist running through the turbo, intercooler, and into the motor. This is why there is always a nasty oily build-up around all the intercooler pipe connections. The CCV mod involves routing the crankcase vent out to the air, and not into the intake any more.

Benefits: no oil build-up in the IC, cleaner engine bay, not burning that crap in the motor, and better air flow into the motor, being some of them.

Ic

Thanks for the info. I was just curious about the gas. I use Desiel Clean (silver) regularly.
