what gas tank will work if i replace the stock one. I would like to relocate it to the underside truck bed. Also how do i cover the stock filler hole on the side of the cab?

Cobra.... the mid60-70 mustang tanks fit great... there is also a tank swap with a Isuzu Rodeo tank...

with the mustang tanks the filler usually comes out straight up thru the bed wood... some folks don't care for this

with the Isuzu you can route the filler neck out the left fender well. Michelle on the boards has done this swap and loves it... I've done the Mustang and here's a link to what I did

you can get the Mustang tanks in either 16 or 20 or 22 gallon... I started with a 16 but with a 460 I flipflopped to the 22..

Excellent article on the gas tank installation. Read an article in a truck rag some years(?) back which also had a mod to bring filler out below bed. works great for us panel owners.
