Need factory fog lights

Hey guys...

I need some help locating a factory fog light for a 1998 Ranger 4x4 XLT. My fog light was victim of a shopping cart at the local Wal-Mart.

Please help with any information of where I can get one. I know I could go to the Ford dealer...but anywhere with better prices would be helpful.

Thanks guys.

Please email with info... jplate2@rochester.rr.com

I've decided to go with new, aftermarket fog lights. Brand new, a factory light goes for $250 and the bracket is another $50. $300 for a new fog light, Ford can kiss my behind.

I have never had a good experience with any junkyard parts. thanks anyway.

Post Need factory fog lights

Hey guy,

I've been looking for factory fog lights for my 99 ranger.
Best price so far has been over at fordpartsonline.com

Go into the collision section of the online catalog and
go into "front lamps". They run about 45 dollars plus
S/H.

Geo.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-May-02 AT 11:59 AM (EST)]Man, thanks. That's the last time I trust the guy in the parts store. The aftermarket lamps were $70. One factory lamp doesn't cost $250. That guy was FOS. New lamp and bracket, factory, from the dealer (no less) $57.28. Man, I'm going to go back to the parts store and shove those aftermarkets where the sun don't shine.

or maybe I'll just use 'em anyway!!! hehe.

I've ordered a valance and lights, etc. Are there any special wiring harnesses that I would need to tie them into my current wiring?

Thanks!

If they're factory, it comes with the necessary wires and hook up. You should be able to just 'plug and play'.

If you're buying aftermarket, you might need to buy some splicing plastics to tap into your headlights.

if anyone has removed the factory valance from a 1998-2000 ranger with factory fog lights, I would like to get one. My ranger didn't come with fog lights, and I like the look of the factory lights.

Thanks!

I ordered my valance off of ebay....44.95 plus shipping. I ordered the lights and switch from fordpartsonline.com. Looks like my total for everything, including valance is around 130.00. If you go out to ebay and do a search on "ranger fog" you may see another valance for sale. Good Luck!

Hi! I got my fog lamps from a place called
Olympic imported parts . I have a 1992 ranger.
I called them and told them the type of fog
lamp I had . My part # was inside the lamp or
you can call them with the make and model of your truck
then they will tell you how much it cost. Mine
were $33.50 each plus S&H . There E-MAIL is
www.forparts.com , olympic@forparts.com or
ph# 1-800-322-0850 . Good Luck . Vickie
