Transfer case ???
Hi,
maybe i have a problem with my transfer case, and i need you to figure out !
When i push down my transfer lever, the 4X4 light goes off. Ok i thought i´m in "N" but i can´t turn the wheels manual, the driveline stops turning at the transfer case. When I switch in into "N" in my transmission i can turn the wheels freely. Is this right ?
And when i pull up the lever the 4X4 light goes on, ok now i´m really in 4 WD ?
But my biggest problem i have, is that i can´t shift in to 2 WD, have i shuffle the lever to the front, or in what way ? Can i shift 2 WD - 4 WD and back if i stand ?

Kinda sounds like your shift linkage is gummed up/dirty or maybe out of adjustment. If the front driveshaft turns under power, the t-case is in 4wd, either Hi or Low.You should be able to go from 2wd to 4wd-Hi while moving, but will need to stop to go from 4-Hi to 4-Low. It sometimes helps to let the truck move forward a few feet if you can't get into the right t-case position.
