Had some bad knocking, sounde like a diesel bad, switched to 89 octane...helped.
Ran several fuel system cleaners thru, helped some more.
Checked the timming....helped most.
Back on 87 octane, still good.
Although when it up shifts, I still get some knocking at lower rpms and accelerating.
Does this sound like a bad knock sensor?
I was talking to a Ford mechanic at a dealership and he said he didn't think he had ever replaced a knock sensor. My owners manual says some light pinging on acceleration and shifting is normal.
Also, I had some pinging until I changed to a high flow air filter and platinum plugs. All quiet now.
