I just did a brake job on a 96 xlt extended cab 4X4 Ranger both rear drums and shoes and front rotors and pads. They were well past worn. Problem is now the ABS goes off for no apparent reason. Pulling out of or into a parking space at VERY SLOW speeds only on a tight left turn. The ABS will activate without even touching the brake pedal. Tried unplugging the whole system, both the fuse and the battery to reset the "brain box" and neither works. The ABS works normally under emergency conditions (I have tried it!) but this problem is driving me crazy. Any help would be appreciated.

It is 4w ABS and the rear brakes were adjusted (tightened) as per the Haynes manual. I think I may try to bleed the system and see if that helps. As I used c-clamps to compress the calipers. Hopefully no non-repairable damage was done during the process. If there are any other suggestions I am all ears. Thanks again!
