Lokar vs. Gennie Shifters

As project 'TYMNBUX" is now ready for a shifter, I seek opinion and comment from those that have purchased, installed and used these 2 choices. I intend to use the E-Brake that mates to these units as well as the cable assemblies. I do understand the "lockout" on Lokar, but that also limits **** choices. No kids or dummies to kick out of gear will be in the truck,( maybe an occasional long-legged girl)....
The price is not an issue as they are comparable. Pro/Con for Quality, Ease of install/use, Adjustability, Factory support, Instructions, Aesthetics.

I love the Lokar in my ******, and I'll definitely be putting one in my F350. Nice positive enguagement, and everything just fits perfect. Depending on the tranny you are using you may also be able to use B&M's new streetrod shifter. Basically the same as the Lokar for a few bucks less.

I've put 4 Lokars in F100s. Downside: Instructions suck. Look like copies of copies. This may have changed in past 2 years.
Upside: A goon mechanic shifted it without pushing in the button. Lokar fixed it free of charge; you pay UPS to ship it back and they'll fix it & return it at n/c.
Makes up for the crappy instructions!

I think the new Gennie shifters have a lockout feature.

I have a 23" Lokar. Really like it. Was pretty easy to install. I bought a black **** for it. Most people who look at it thinks it is a standard shift. I think i have a picture in my gallery that shows an interior shot with the shifter.
