i was just wondering how many have added extra guages. i have been watching if i am using my drivers side handle and i do not so i am going to get rid of it and putting gauges. i was thinking the 3 gauge pod, with ammeter, maybe a real trans temp but i don't tow a lot so its not real important. so what have you guys put in and what type (electric or mechnaincal) and if i do the trans is it easy to put the sensor in? and what look looks good? thanks for the input.
I put a three gauge pod in place of the handle. Vac/boost, volt meter and air/fuel ratio. Air/fuel ratio gauge looks cool but is not very functional because of the way the O2 sensor and coputer work to control the injectors, always swinging from lean to rich and back.
I have ISSPro Boost, Tranny and Pyro, in that order from top to bottom. Tranny sits at the lowest reading most of the time, even when towing an 8k travel trailer. They are a must as I also use the Predator and it's very easy to get the pyro into the red. New Exhaust will be done in the spring.
I put two gauges on the dash on either side of the column. I just drilled it out with a 2" drill bit. Looks much better in my opinion. I had the pod and it looked like poo and blocked my vision. I drive fast. I need to see.
If you don't want to lose the handle or mess with the a-pillar .Chk out my setup in my gallery ,I like it works great and guages match the factory colors.
i use the handle.. and would like two guages to the truck.. but so far.. havent seen much that i like.. im not much into digital read outs.. was thinking of something to the sides of the steering column..
anyone do something like this... or put guages in without the pillar?

I found that I didn't use the handle, so I installed 3 gauge A-Pillar pod. Used ISSPRO gauges and am pleased with the results. The setup gets a lot of Oohs and AAhhs from guys who haven't seen them before.
I have pictures in my gallery of the gauges both daytime and nighttime.
