2005 drain plug size ?
I originally posted this issue in the 6.0 , now realizing there was an oil thread that may know this answer. My husband just completed our first 1000 mile oil change in a 2005 F-250 Diesel . He found the 18 mm wrench to be too small, the 19 mm " sloppy " and the standard 3/4 that works on our ' 02, to be sloppy too ? He is concerned that continued use of this fit will damage the plug. Does anyone know what we should be using...or is our plug defective ??

I can't tell you the size but one thing that will probably help is when you find the correct size, get a 6 point socket if only for that purpose. It'll work forever on the bolt head.
