Yes, you can get a 4.6 with a manual tranny, but I think the only 5.4 with a manual is the lightning.

An auto lightning with a shift kit will beat a manual lightning in the quarter mile. It's so fast that the auto will shift alot quicker than any human can shift a manual in the quarter. That's why all pro drag cars are auto's and not sticks.

drag cars...yeah..but how many of us would invest the money to run 10s or lower in a Lightning? 6 speed would own the auto on the street.

I love manual transmissions. Most people don't know how to drive them these days. Which means less people wanting to drive it. Including wives that don't know 5speed

My can't drive mine because she's too short. She can barely reach the pedals, but she drove a little 5 speed Honda around for about a week.

Huh? I didn't know moto's had a stick shift! That would make for a pretty funny visual. (and yes, I'm joking...you shift with your foot right?)

Yes I was joking Joe. I was saying that my motorcycle has an auto trans and i wish i could get it in a manual....ah forget it, not funny anymore. I know now how you feel Dr. Dirt.

Uh, and you can shift your bike just like a car. Left hand stick shift with left foot clutch. It's called a suicide shifter setup and tough (but really cool) to ride....and very dangerous, hence the name.

I've driven my friends suicide shifter and the hardest part is feathering the clutch when driving slow. Because you have to do it with your left foot. So, if the bike starts tipping to the left, you can't take your foot off the clutch to put it down otherwise you'll disengage the clutch and the bike will take off. Not to mention driving around all day with only one hand on the handlebars. cool as heck looking though but a pain in the butt to ride all day. He likes it though, and it fits his personality. You know me though, i'm a crotch rocket kind of guy, what can I say.

Garrett, isn't the LS a Mitsubishi Diamante? I'm pretty sure it is. Put them side by side and take a look.
