Cool 99 7.3 F-250 "Will Not Crank"HELP"

GREAT WEBSITE!!! Thanks for this forum. I have been reading all the threads and hope I am on the right track. I have a 99 F-250 7.3 Power Stroke and can't get it to start morning or afternoon. The glow plugs work fine and the batteries are strong. Am I right in assuming that the relay may need to be replaced or could it be the IAC. It went out on me on Thursday morning and has not cranked yet. Turns over just fine but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[B]Thanks for the reply...The engine is turning over great. It just won't fire/start. And The plugs are working like they always have. I'm in the carolinas and the weather has been nice so it isn't a weather problem. Hope it's nothing internal...

No check engine light or anything like that? Does the tach move when you crank it over? If not, may be the cam position (CaMP) sensor.

Pikachu...Thanks for the reply! No check engine lights come on at all. When I go to turn the key on I hear a "click-click" and then a buzzing sound when I am turning it over. When it dosen't crank I turn the switch off and hear the "click-click" again. It sounds like it is right on the fire wall or the top of the motor. As for the Tach moving I will check it first thing in the am. From what I have been reading it's a big point when cranking. Also, may I ask what the cmp sensor is, what it does and where it is located. Thanks again for your help!!!

Just went out to crank it and the tach did not move. Also, all my panel lights; battery, etc...flick on and off while I was turning the motor over. Whats the deal with the tach? Is it supposed to move? Thanks...

Yes they are. Maybe not as fast as a strobe light but similar to it.

Well they are not supposed to do that while the starter is in operation. I personally don't have a schematic of the electrical system for the trucks, but if someone who does could chime in here. I am pretty sure that if you get this blinking problem fixed the engine will start too.
