Fuel Gauge after fill up

Fuel Gauge after fill up
Last couple times I have filled up it takes about 10 min. for the needle to get to the "full point." Ive had the truck for 10 mos. and it has always gone to "full" as soon as you start the truck...anyone know what is going on besides a bad sending unit? The gauge works fine after it reaches full.

Fuel gage issues
Hi-
I had the same problem when the gas gage was 1/4 tank or lower, it took 2-3 days to go to full after the tank was filled. I had the sending unit replaced 6-7 weeks ago, and worked fine UNTIL last night when I filled it. Same problem again- although the gage is up to 3/4 tank after ONLY one day this time! I suppose the Factory rep will tell me this is 'normal' just like the rest of the multiple problems I have had- shimmy, front tire wear, A/C junk, slow response of throttle, vibration through truck, constant wind noise left side, rear axle clutches, cowl and hood shake, junk rotors front and rear- Just a few 'Minor' things I guess, but normal according to my zone rep.! Well, on to the dealer for another sending unit!!

Ok, I just filled the truck last night, from only about 1/2 empty this time, and it sprung right to full right after start-up. Strange...maybe it does have to do with the tank being almost empty those other 2 times. My gf had the truck for a few days and let the low fuel light come on (for the first time ever). What is it with women anyway...? I will have to do some more experimenting.

I have had my 04 for 13 months and 23,000 miles. In the first 6000 miles I had the same problem with the slow fuel gauge on 3 separate occasions and it had nothing to do with the key being in since the key was removed. Since then, I have not had the problem again and I have filled up from anywhere from the low fuel warning to 1/2 of a tank.
